Counselling services are made readily available in all seven Kivalliq communities, and you have the option to reach out to any of our Community Counselling Coordinators either by phone or email. Once you have made that initial contact, your options for receiving counselling or support are enhanced, allowing for further choices tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

Spousal Abuse Counselling Program and

Gender Based Violence Hotline

Our mission for this program is to create safe and supportive spaces that enable individuals to heal, grow, and ultimately prosper in their lives. Our dedicated SACP counsellors offer a range of counselling services specifically designed for clients who are mandated by the court, and upon completion of their final session, clients are provided with a certificate of completion that acknowledges their participation. In addition to these services, we also run various programs tailored for court-mandated clients, who are referred to us through court hearings. Furthermore, we welcome walk-ins, so all members of our community are encouraged to reach out and request support from any of our compassionate SACP team members.

Our newest initiative focuses on addressing Gender-Based Violence, and our team is currently undergoing extensive training to adequately support all residents of Nunavut through a dedicated GBV Hotline that we will be launching in early Spring 2025. Be sure to keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks, as we will provide important updates.
